Lexmark E250dn (est. $150)
The last printer in this review is a monochrome laser printer by Lexmark called the E250dn. This is a good all-around printer with fast speeds and a duplexer, all for around only $150. The printer's size is great at 10.2 x 15.6 x 14.1 inches, and it weighs in at 25 pounds. Installing this laser printer is a breeze, thanks to Lexmark's set-up software.

The E250dn comes equipped with a 250 page paper tray, and is expandable to 800 sheets with an optional attachment. This printer is relatively heavy-duty with the maintenance schedule being every 25,000 pages. This printer also works well in a network setting, which makes it good for a small business. Lexmark offers an optional wireless adapter for a wireless networking set-up.
This printer has a very fast engine rating at 30 pages per minute. That makes this printer one of the fastest out of all of my picks. This printer tends to print graphics better than its competition, while text is about average. Image quality is also impressive with text and graphics both appearing very accurate. Maximum resolution is at 600 x 600 dpi.
The E250dn ships with a 1,500 page starter cartridge. Through Lexmark's toner cartridge recycling program, you can purchase discounted cartridges ($132) that are capable of printing about 3,500 pages. This makes the price per page with this printer about 3.8 cents.
The E250dn is a relatively inexpensive monochrome laser printer which has good performance and excellent image quality. This model also has a nice duty cycle of about 25,000 pages.
