Top Five Laser Printers for Under $200 - Samsung ML-2571N (est. $155)

    Samsung ML-2571N (est. $155)

The Samsung ML-2571N is a lot like its older the brother, the ML-3051N, but with less paper capacity and no duplexer. This model does cost significantly less than the ML-3051N. The price of this model is one of its biggest assets. This model doesn't have the best performance or printing quality, but it is good for its price range.

This monochrome laser printer is quite small at 14 x 11.7 x 9.7 inches, and it weighs in at 19.6 pounds, which makes it significantly smaller than the ML-3051N. It comes with a 1,000 page toner cartridge. Once this cartridge runs out, you can replace it with a 3,000 page cartridge, which runs under $80. This makes text pages cost about 2.6 cents per page, which is really good. Scheduled maintenance is due about every 20,000 pages.

Text quality is slightly above average, but not up to the ML-3051N's standards.  The speed of this laser printer is also relatively good with test results showing over 17 pages per minute for text and over 7 pages per minute for graphics.

The ML-2571N is an all-around good performer in every way, but its best feature is its small price tag.
