SteelSound 3H Gaming Headset Review - Inside the Package…
(Page 2 of 5 )
When you open the package you’ll find the headset along with the standard paperwork: a safety warning, product brief, and advertisement for their new SteelSecurity online protection product.
The headset is in its fully collapsed position. It opens quickly and easily. I flexed it a bit to get a feel for how well it’s put together. The joints all feel good—nice and sturdy.

It’s time for the real test. Next to sound, my biggest pet peeve in a headset is comfort. I’ll be wearing this thing for hours at a time; it needs to be comfortable.
This headset is designed to sit right on your ears. The ear cushions are extremely comfortable. The headset fits snugly, but not too tight. It provides just enough pressure to keep it from falling off. I’m actually very pleased with the feel. I’m not a fan of on-ear headsets, but I can wear these easily.
The headset is also surprisingly light. After only getting this far into the review I already forgot I was wearing it. That’s another plus.
The wire on the headset is long enough to reach under my desk to the back of my tower easily. There is plenty of wire left, enough for me to lean back in my chair comfortably. No one likes to feel tied to their desk.
It’s a good thick cable too. You’re not going to have to worry about breaking it during use or when coiling it up during transportation. The wire is only attached to one ear piece as well. That’s a very nice feature. There’s no need to worry about tangling and it’s quite easy to put on and take off this way.

The headset is constructed of hard, durable plastic. This means it should last for quite some time. It also should ride nicely in a bag or briefcase along with games or other accessories without fear of breaking.
As with most headsets, this one adjusts to fit. I like the fact that the headset adjusts in very small increments, allowing it to fit the widest range of head sizes possible. A fabric band ensures that no plastic rides against your skin during use—yet another comfort feature.
