The first thing I did, before even putting these things close to my PC, was to put them on my head to see how they felt. The ear cup fits comfortably over my ear, effectively blocking out a small amount of ambient background noise. To be honest, this headset is surprisingly comfortable when compared to other over-the-ear headphones.
One of the cool things about this headset is the retractable microphone. When it is fully retracted, you can barely tell it even exists. It blends into the side of the left earpiece nicely.
To extend the microphone, you merely grab the tip and pull it from the earpiece. When fully extended, the microphone reaches about six inches. The extended microphone is flexible as well, so you can position it where it works the best for you.
In the above pic, the microphone is only extended about two inches for illustration purposes.
The cord for the headphones is of braided cloth. This kind of cord not only proves quite durable, but more tangle resistant than your standard rubber cord.
