Phiaton MS400 Headphones Review - Show me more

Now for the good stuff: the headphones. There are many things I'd like to point out about these headphones, so I'll jump right in without further ado.

Above is a stock picture of these headphones, just to show how attractive they really are.  Sure, they won't meet everyone's taste, but the contrast of the black with the red leather and the carbon-fiber ear cups really brings it home.

The above pictures show a close-up of both the outside and the inside of one of the ear cups.  You can really make out the carbon fiber in the first picture, and how it gives a technical feel to the finished product. The picture showing the inside displays the liner that covers the actual speaker. My prodding showed that it is a very thin layer, yet seems to be of a decent quality. I don't see it falling apart in a few months like some headphone liners I've encountered in the past.

I'd like to point out that in these pictures the photos appear a lot pinker than they are in person.  I blame the fact that my normal camera was unavailable, and I had to use a camera I am unfamiliar with. Rest assured that these are a bright red in color, as in the first picture on this page.

In this pic I'm demonstrating the range of the cushion in the ear cups. This is actually the same as the range on the top of the headband, as well. The material itself is quite soft and comfortable, much more comfortable than I thought they'd be. I put them on for a while without any music playing, gauging how comfortable they were without any distractions, and within a few moments forgot I was wearing them.
