Epson Artisan 800 Multifunction Printer - Features

I've already touched on many of the features of the Epson Artisan 800, but there's plenty more to go around. Since the Artisan 800 is Epson's flagship printer, you can expect some of the best features currently available in a multifunction printer.

The Artisan 800 provides the user with plenty of creative options when it comes to printing. One of the cool features of this printer is the coloring book page prints that it's capable of producing. This nice feature is great if you have kids; it works by taking any picture and turning it into a coloring book page that can be colored. This feature is easily accessible via the touch panel on the front of the printer.

Another creative feature of this printer is the CD/DVD printing ability. You can transfer any photo onto the top of a CD or DVD, and the quality is quite good. In fact, it is equal to any CD or DVD that you'd buy in the store, which makes this printer perfect for someone in a small band, for instance, who needs to print out smaller quantities of CDs to sell or giveaway at shows.

The included software is easy to use and has a decent amount of functionality. This software allows you to easily create greeting cards, invitations, calendars, photo books, and other similar projects. This software also has some advanced capabilities, such as the ABBYY FineReader OCR (Optical Character Recognition). This feature allows you to take printed documents and convert them into editable text on your computer.

One of the printer's coolest features is its built-in WiFi capability. This feature allows you to set up a wireless networking printing system among your desktop and laptop(s) computers in your home. The printer will work with both 802.11b/g or 802.11n wireless networks. The Artisan 800 is also capable of Bluetooth connectivity, but it requires you to purchase an additional adapter.
