The Qflix site (pictured) very simply explains the device's features and capabilities, and also points users to CinemaNow. As use of the device spreads and the technology grows more common, however, it's very possible that other video-based sites will become part of the Qflix deal. If the Qflix device gains popularity, it's only natural to assume that many Web sites will want to get involved with this downloaded-movie-burning revolution.

And in this way, the Qflix could create new trends in digital downloads. Sites offering video downloads and viewable videos are extremely popular on the Internet. If nothing else, the popularity of YouTube proves that the public likes to watch the Internet at least as much as they once enjoyed watching TV. Sites offering fully legal downloads which are burnable to DVD can offer a total package to video-viewing enthusiasts - the Internet and the home viewing pleasure, with no laws broken.

The appearance of the Qflix makes it highly likely that other computer companies will soon offer their own DVD burners for Internet downloads, to remain competitive in this growing market. There's definitely a demand for entertainment out there, which means Qflix and similar products are sure to find a niche in the online world. Why watch on your laptop what you can watch on your big-screen TV, right? As the service becomes more popular, downloading and burning options should become more widely available.
