Dell Wireless Printer Adapter 3300 - Wrapping up
(Page 5 of 5 )
So when all the software installation was done, I clicked on “Print Test Page.” Viola, the printer, now across the room, fired up and printed me a nice colorful test page.

And that was it. The improvements over the years to make hardware installations easier are paying off nicely. The Dell Wireless Printer Adapter 3300 was simple to install, and was pretty quick to print. To be honest, I was surprised at how fast it printed even documents with a ton of graphics and text mixed together.
As always, the ups and downs:
Ups:
- Simple to install
- Works with secure networks
- Very clear instructions
- Works with USB printers
Downs:
- Only supported to work with certain Dell printers (nine models)
- On the pricey side ($99 at the time of this writing)
Truthfully, I was disappointed to find out that this wireless adapter would only work with certain Dell printers. It was a dream to configure, and works beautifully. If Dell was able to make one work with any USB printer, it would be a wonderful thing.
This being said, even though the hardware itself functioned flawlessly, I’m giving it a 7 out of 10 for its lack of compatibility with most USB printers. If you have one of the supported printers, though, this item is a tremendous value.
