Bluetake Bluetooth EDR USB Adapter (BT007Ex) Review - Conclusion

Like with the last review, I took a walk away from my desk and down the hall to see the distance I could go with the music playing. After walking several yards away, I couldn’t notice any difference in the sound quality. Walking out the door, it started to skip a little bit more. With a wall in the way, it’s hard to exactly measure how far the signal reached. Suffice it to say that if you can see your computer, the music will sound good.

Altogether, I think that testing the I-PHONO Mini with the iPod adapter first gave me some very high expectations. Those two Bluetooth gadgets made a very clear. The USB adapter performed excellently, but its sound was not quite as impressive as Bluetake’s other offering. For the convenience and lack of a restricting cord, I would still recommend this as a great addition to the I-PHONO set I reviewed yesterday.

I found the BT007Ex USB adapter for sale online for $36. Bluetake has other USB adaptor models for sale as well that go down to $20. This makes them well-priced specialty Bluetooth devices. I really like this gadget and hope it catches on.

    Pros

    • Makes chatting on the internet feel like talking on a handsfree cell phone!
    • Fool-proof installation
    • Extremely simple to use
    • Reasonable price

    Cons

    • Sound quality is not as high as Bluetake’s Bluetooth iPod transmitter
