Wave Music System Review - Setting up the Music System

Setting up the Wave Music System could not be simpler.

Just plug the supplied power cord into the back of the music system, and plug the other end into an available outlet and you're done. Hit power on the remote or insert a CD and the unit turns itself on.

Setting the time is fairly simple. Hold the Time - and Time + for one second until - Clock Set - appears on the display and press the Time - and Time + to adjust to the clock. Wait five seconds for the time to set.

In the setup menu you can change many system settings, including Snooze Time, Play a certain radio station after a CD ends, Clock Time Format (12-24 Hours), Display Brightness Level, Bose Link Room Code, and Reset to factory settings.

An interesting feature is the Bose Link option. This feature allows you to control multiple systems with a single remote. I have not been able to use this feature since I only have a single system. But it seems very promising. Other options are an auxiliary input via a 1/8-inch stereo jack. This could be used to hook up a DVD player or PC to your Music System by using the appropriate cords, which do not come with the System.

There is also an FM antenna connection in the back of the unit, even though the system uses the power cord as a built in antenna. The external antenna is best used for tuning into stations just out of the internal antenna's reception. And of course there is a 1/8-inch headphone jack in the back if you do not want to use the Music System's speakers.
