Turtle Beach Sonic Link Review - Remote

    Turtle Beach Sonic Link Review

The enclosed remote requires its own section. Besides being able to control a PC through the AudioStation software, it is a multi-function remote. It can control a VCR, TV, satellite or cable box, DVD player, and so forth. Uniquely, it also provides home automation functionality, enabling the user to turn on or off up to eight home appliances or lights with an optional device.

Details of the home automation system are vague. The included manual refers to the www.turtle-beach.com website, but unfortunately no accessories nor instructions on how to use this feature were found. One of the best features of the remote is to assign playlists to the number pad, allowing the user to easily change playlists for different listening occasions.

The remote is somewhat large. In the above image it is compared to a Logitech MX700 wireless mouse. A good comparison would be to the Motorola cable box remote, which most people have. This remote is still larger. It requires 4 AAA batteries.
