Today we’ll be reviewing something of an oddity in the world of sound production: Sennheiser headphones for less than $200 USD. Will these headphones uphold the quality associated with the Sennheiser name?

Our story begins with a little trip to the local CompUSA,where I went on a search for a new pair of headphones. Looking around, Iquickly spotted something of interest: the Sennheiser HD 500 Fusion StereoHeadphones. Immediately, the Sennheiser name caught my eye. I was surprised tosee the name at CompUSA, especially when I noticed the relatively low $100 USDprice tag - It's not unusual to pay twice this or more for headsets from thismanufacturer. Sure they're pricey, but for good reason; having worked in amusic studio for a couple of years, I was familiar with the brand’s quality.Luckily, this little excursion was funded by the generous Mr. John Caputo,which made it easier to justify paying that kind of price for a set of homeheadphones.
