From the back you can see the speaker cables are attached to the satellites. Thankfully, they are composite wires and extension cables can be used if neccessary.

Removing a satellite's cloth cover reveals a sleeker looking, more modern speaker.

Other cables include the computer output to remote cable and remote to subwoofer cable (which come attached to the remote).
The Subwoofer, Remote
The subwoofer, which measures 11x11x15 inches, is really large for a simple 2.1 setup. The sub alone being 120 watts RMS is part of the reason. Logitech's patented subwoofer design is certainly impressive.

The back is very simple. There are the left and right satellite outputs, remote control connector, power switch, attached power cable, and large heatsink.

The problem with the Z-2200 having just two satellite outputs is the inability to expand the number of satellites. So with the Z-2200, you must be content with a 2.1 setup.

The wired remote has a large volume wheel, a bass wheel, a power switch, blue power LED (in the center), and a headphone jack at the bottom. Overall the appearance of the Z-2200s is fairly impressive. The subwoofer is eye-catching, the satellites look nice with and without the cloth covers, the remote has solid wheels and a blue LED, and the headphone jack is conveniently placed at the bottom of the remote.
