    Genius SW-HF5.1 5000 - Packaging and Specifications

    Packaging & Specifications

The time has come for us to check out the sales package. As you can see from the attached picture, it is relatively large in dimension and weight, weighing 19kg.

Now that we've presented the package, we're going to open it up. Everything is tightly and neatly packaged, exactly the way you'd expect from a manufacturer like Genius. After cautiously taking out the speakers, remote control, instruction manual, cables and bare wires, we're finally ready to hook up this system. Before we begin, check out the picture below to see the contents of the package.

For those of you reading this article via some "fancy" gadget that struggles to display quality images (or doesn't display at all), here's a brief text-based summary:

    • One subwoofer speaker

    • One center speaker

    • Two front speakers

    • Two surround speakers

    • One remote control

    • One Instruction Manual

    • Five bare wires

    • One 6 RCA to 6 RCA cable

    • One 3.5mm to 2 x RCA cable

    • One G9 to 3 x 3.5mm cable

The Genius SW-HF5.1 5000 is enclosed in robust, high quality pear wood (hardboard). Most importantly, this also covers the satellites, thanks to their MDF (medium-density fiberboard) wood cabinets. Actually, this is really important because nowadays very few mid-end sound systems are using wooden enclosures for satellites. And regardless of the quality, sometimes plastic just isn't enough. It cannot be compared with wood.

(SW-HF5.1 5000 is available in 2 possible color options.)
