Creative Inspire P380 Review – Music to Your Ears - Conclusion

Creative provide warranty and support via their website and details on how to register are included in the documentation.  Speakers do not need drivers or firmware upgrades in order to work, but it is still recommended that you take the time to register so that you are covered by the standard two year warranty on product failure.  Unless you play your music at full volume continuously, it is unlikely that the speakers will break. Remember, though, that as with any mass produced item, a manufacturing flaw is always a possibility, however remote.  The product documentation is available whether you register or not, so if you lose the hard-copy documentation, a quick trip to the site will get you a PDF version.

Overall, these speakers look great and sound great.  They aren't the cheapest 2.1 speakers that you're going to find, but the extra investment is well worth it.  Probably the best improvement that could be made to the speakers would be the inclusion of a headphone jack, not necessarily on the remote, just anywhere on the set.

Paying more for a set of Creative 2.1 speakers will not get you a much better quality of sound; it will get you more power (a higher wattage) and additional extras such as a remote control with more features, or smaller satellites.  Bear this in mind when parting with your hard-earned, because unless you're trying to fill a cathedral with music, the P380 could provide everything that you need.

    Pros

    • Stylish looks
    • Relatively low cost compared to other good 2.1 systems
    • Stunning sound
    • Remote control

    Cons

    • No headphone jack
    • Only master volume control on the remote
    • Satellites do not house a dedicated tweeter for high notes.
