Creative Inspire P380 Review – Music to Your Ears - Remote Control and Sound Quality
(Page 4 of 5 )
The wired remote control is useful, but very basic; providing only a control for the overall volume of the sound output. Creative could easily improve on this by adding bass control and a headphone jack or power button (and have done this in the more expensive models). While this can be seen as a setback, you have to bear in mind that most other 2.1 speakers don't even bother with a remote at all.

The speaker set is only available in black, but look great; the satellites are unobtrusive and stylish and the sub looks as sturdy as it sounds, Creative certainly live up to their reputation of quality design and finish.
More important than looks is of course the quality of the sound output; rarely do people buy speakers solely for their appearance. Fortunately, in addition to looking great, the P380 set sounds fantastic. Any style of music, from the delicate tones of classical jazz to the pounding baselines of drum & bass, the sound reproduction is crisp and clear, even at high volume. When playing a World War II game, you are there in the trenches; when watching a movie, you're side by side with the lead.
The bass provided by the sub is incredibly strong and adds real depth to whatever you are listening to. I have rarely needed the base adjustment to further than halfway to maximum to experience all of the low tones necessary. One thing I will say is that at higher volumes, the sub does start to distort slightly at maximum bass.
