Creative Inspire P380 Review – Music to Your Ears - Subwoofer and Panel Control

The subwoofer is active, which means that it has its own power supply, and provides the bass (lower-frequency sounds) of the sound output.  The subwoofer is also the home of the connection and control interface, a simple area containing the bass control, power button and output jacks.

The connection to the source is a simple 3.5 mm industry standard, which means that the speaker set can be used with any audio or video device that has a headphone socket (practically every piece of electrical personal entertainment technology every made!)

The reinforced sub measures 17cm wide by 26cm high by 17cm deep and is designed to be used as a floor-standing unit.  It has a single front air-port for a deeper, more resounding bass-line reproduction, and a single 12cm driver.  The grill on the sub can be detached but does not appear to be designed in this way.  Removing it may cause irreparable damage (until you locate your superglue.)
