The World of Warcraft is going to get a little bigger this fall, and many WoW players are in a frenzy of excitement over all the new features, locations and abilities. There’s lots of talk in and outside of the game, and everyone seems to be making plans. But how many of the rumors about the new expansion pack are true? Is the Wrath of the Lich King really going to bring all that’s been promised?

Scheduled to officially debut November 3, 2008, World of Warcraft’s Wrath of the Lich King is one of the most talked-about game expansions of the entire year -- and it’s been long-awaited by WoW players. Promising a whole new area with new raiding and dungeon instances, a new profession, even a new class, the Lich King seems ready to deliver a lot to players. Will it?
New Features
Blizzard, the maker of WoW, intends to offer up a brand-new class with the Lich King expansion: Death Knights. Players will also be allowed to reach level 80 with the expansion, courtesy of new quests and instances in the freshly-added continent of Northrend. Siege buildings will bring a new twist to WoW warfare, while new customization features will bring new looks to even old characters.
A new profession has also been added, along with new reputation factions and NPCs. New creatures and items will also be made available. But not everything that’s been rumored to happen is going to be immediately available with the new expansion.
