    Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a new release this summer for the PS3 gaming console. There is no doubt that it is a highly anticipated release, thanks in part to the sequel in the Transformers movie series by director Michael Bay that has been a box office hit in terms of numbers so far this summer. But is it worth playing? More importantly, is it worth purchasing?

Whether the actual movie deserves its hype and financial success is another story in some people's minds. However, the hype alone from the series and the possibility of action packed gameplay gives this title an abundance of potential. Does Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen reach its high ceiling, or does it go the route of previous video games that were lacking when compared to the movies they simulated? Let's find out.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen for the PS3 is a third-person shooter. Depending on your taste, you have the choice to play different campaigns as either the Autobots or Decepticons. This is nice for those who fall on either the side of good or evil. The fact that you can play as either adds to the length of the gameplay, as both campaigns have more than enough challenges to master.

To acclimate yourself to the gameplay you can begin playing in your humanoid form. Using your weapons, as well as performing normal movements like jumping, are pretty simple in this form. The learning curve gets steeper, though, as you try to transform. As with anything in life, practice makes perfect.
