The Saboteur is a third-person shooter set during World War II and is the final game developed by recently shut down Pandemic Studios. Is it worth playing? That depends very much on whether you're simply looking for an exciting game or a realistic recreation of the era.
While the Saboteur does have elements of reality mixed into its gameplay, those expecting a historically realistic simulation of the bloody battles that took place in the 1940s may come away disappointed. Those looking for an action-packed game that will provide loads of fun, on the other hand, will be pleasantly surprised.
Combining solid graphics, interesting characters, and fast-paced action, the Saboteur is a trendy yet nostalgic game that should appeal to fans of third person shooters. While it’s certainly not on the elite level of the Grand Theft Auto series, it definitely has its own charm and redeeming qualities that make it at least worth a rental -- albeit not for young ones, as it does contain some spicy language, blood, and even sexual references. You can pick up the Saboteur for the PS3 for $59.99.
