The Beatles: Rock Band for Xbox 360 - Dreamscapes and Quicker Play

Beyond the live performances and crazed fans, the Story mode shifts its tune to the Abbey Road Studios about midway through. No longer will you be entertained by the fanaticism in the stands. Instead, rather than just playing and recording songs while sitting in a studio setting, you will be whisked away to another dimension with dreamscapes.

Dreamscapes are somewhat alternate realities that differ for each song. Consider them graphical interpretations of what the songs are or what feelings they intended to elicit from you. These dreamscapes are highly varied, and awesome to look at. The colors and images are bright and quite surreal, and help you enjoy the gameplay even more as you go along.

The most unique dreamscape by far is that of “I Am the Walrus,” which feature the band members playing music while dressed up in odd animal outfits. The dreamscapes definitely attack your senses, to say the least.

If you lack the patience for Story mode, and want to jump right into the thick of things, you can also choose the Quickplay mode either online or offline. With Quickplay, you simply choose which song from the list you want to play, and get to it. There’s no need to progress further to play your favorite song, and this mode is also a good setup and practice before you hit Story mode and go for the glory.
