The Beatles: Rock Band for Xbox 360 - Playing a Band's Career
(Page 2 of 4 )
The best gameplay mode on The Beatles: Rock Band, as well as the one that will be most looked forward to by fans of the band, is Story mode. In Story mode you get to relive the band's career, from their humble beginnings to their immeasurable stardom. You only have to play each of the 45 available songs once to move through the game.
You will play to small crowds in Liverpool at the Cavern Club and make your way up the charts with a final hurrah on the rooftop of Apple Corps. In between you will make stops playing on the Ed Sullivan Show, and at large venues such as Shea Stadium in New York and the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan. The realism during these performances is pretty cool, and if you are a big fan who always dreamed of playing with the band, you might even get some goose bumps along the way.

Speaking of realism, there is even a menu option to toggle realism in the game. When activated, you will actually hear elevated crowd noise and screams, making it difficult to even hear the music. This can really get you further into the game and the performances, as you will feel like you are actually there with the band.
The stadiums look pretty accurate, and you also get to see a lot of crowd movement that escalates to a near riotous level due to their fanaticism. You even get details such as seeing police officers struggling to control the crowds. It’s all a nice addition to the realism of the game that gives you a small glimpse into just how big the Beatles craze was at the time.
