    Madden NFL 10 for PS3

It’s the time of the year that many sports fans so anxiously await: fall and the NFL season. No offense to baseball, basketball, or hockey, but nothing quite compares to the excitement that NFL football can bring to homes on Sunday afternoons and Monday nights. With the NFL season also comes the annual release of one of the video game industry’s top franchises: Madden NFL football from EA Sports. Today we'll be taking a close look at this latest release.

While many believe that the Madden franchise simply churns out relatively unchanged games each year, you can usually at least count on a few tweaks with each new release, whether it be in gameplay, graphics, or presentation. Of course, many true football fans don’t care that each year’s editions may look similar. They get the game to help quench their thirst for football and also to get access to the new rosters and rookies.

Madden NFL 10 for the PS3, while not radically different from the 2009 edition, still comes with some improvements that fanatics of the series will notice. The graphics and player models are excellent, and this is probably the most aesthetically pleasing Madden release to date. There are new animations as well, such as improved tackling via the Pro-Tak system.

Gameplay has been tweaked a bit to add to the realism of the action, and there are also a new online franchise co-op modes. Of course there are some rough spots as well, such as the commentary and some annoyances with the AI, but overall Madden NFL 10 for the PS3 is a must have for football fans. Madden NFL 10 for the PS3 is currently available for a retail price of $59.95.

If you are like me, then the meat and potatoes are what’s most important in a sports game. What is that, you may ask? It’s the gameplay. Sure, all the mini games and modes are fun, but when it boils down to it, gameplay is usually the most important aspect of a sports game. EA Sports did its best to with Madden NFL 10 to make it as realistic as possible.
