    GTA IV: Going Too Far?

Rockstar has had people, groups and the government on its back lately with its Grand Theft Auto series. The first 2 GTAs were fine, decent violent games but nothing anyone would say should be removed from the shelves. GTA III came, and with its release came complaining.

It was the first version in which you could see the blood on the ground. It also gave players the ability to pick up a prostitute and take her to a secluded quiet area. This had many groups in outrage about the graphics and the very adult content.

This didn’t stop Rockstar. They released a sequel, GTA: Vice City. This again had the violence and created a stir but nothing ever happened. The most current release of the series is GTA: San Andreas.  This version, when first put out, didn’t gather as much negative publicity as the others. People were getting use to it until the famous “Hot Coffee  Mod.”  In case you haven’t heard of it, it’s a mini game inside the game that is about having sex in the game with user interaction.

This is where the line was drawn; the government said no no to this and made Rockstar pull the games and issue a updated version without this mini sex game.  This is now the current version you can buy at a store.  What about all those games already bought? Well their owners can continue playing their mini sex game.

Recently Rockstar has had another little stir. This time it’s with an unreleased game. The next GTA game’s trailer was released last month.  While it looks incredible and had people talking all over the Internet on the amazing graphics, that wasn't the only remarkable thing about it.  As you view the trailer you will see it takes place back in “Liberty City.” As you watch the trailer, you will notice many scenes and buildings you might find in New York City.
