Endless Ocean: Blue World for Wii - Graphics

Speaking of wildlife, although the characters in the game are the primary elements to its story, the real stars of the show are the animals. If you enjoy wildlife, you are sure to enjoy Blue World, as it presents you with over 300 different species to gawk at and interact with. There is plenty of variety within the wildlife as well, as you get to see creatures both small and large, in the water and on land, and those that inhabit both freshwater and saltwater. Best of all, they all move realistically and are graphically reproduced with plenty of detail to give you a feeling of really being there in person.

Among the game's smaller saltwater creatures are butterfly fish, the poisonous lionfish, and the parrothead. Some larger saltwater protagonists include the playful Pacific white-sided dolphin, the humpback whale, the sperm whale, the sea turtle, and the enormous whale shark. If you dive deeper, you might be lucky enough to come across such hard-to-find species as the oarfish, the mega-mouth shark, and the elusive giant squid.

You can also expect to see some animals on land, such as penguins, seals, and even polar bears. While exploring freshwater habitats, you will encounter piranhas, crocodiles, and the giant Arapaima fish. Depending on their disposition, the species will either be observable, friend, or foe. For example, you can use dolphins as companions to help you in your travels to swim faster or to find fish. On the other hand, sharks and crocodiles will make your diving experiences frightening, and you will have to fend them off. Just how you fend these predators off will be explained in a bit.

While playing Blue World, your main goal is to progress through the presented dives and challenges until the end. In the meantime, you will find yourself doing tasks such as feeding fish, riding, searching for and selling treasure for money, as well as snapping photos of the various creatures you see and documenting them. When at L&L's home base, Nineball Island, you can walk around and talk with other characters, train dolphins, sell your treasure, and set off to other diving locations.
