Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Buying Modern Warfare 2
(Page 4 of 4 )
Convinced yet? You can purchase Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 right now if that’s your pleasure -- but first, make sure you’re getting the right version to get your money’s worth. For a little more, you can snag a few extras that might be must-have items for some gamers.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 can currently be played on different platforms: PS3, Xbox 360 and your PC. The standard game (pictured) is available through most video gaming retailers and currently sells for around $45 USD. However, before you run right out and buy it, find out what you might be missing if you decide to pass on other versions of the game.
Hardened edition includes not just the game but a steel book (with a metallic finish), a dazzling art book, a game manual and even a token which allows players to download the original Call of Duty. For these extras (the game itself stays completely the same), you’ll pay $80 to get the whole package.
But it’s the Prestige edition that will make many hardcore gamers salivate with desire. For a cool $150, players will not only get the game, the art book and the special casing; they’ll also get a pair of functioning night vision goggles. If that doesn’t add a new element of enjoyment to your game play, nothing will.
Want to have the whole experience? For a limited amount of time, gamers can purchase a special Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360 gaming console, which retails for $399. Bundle packs are available which include the console and various editions of the game itself.
But if you’d rather save some money in today’s troubled economic times, you can go lite and get the Nintendo DS version of the game -- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Mobilized. Retailing for $25, this version gives you a pretty good glimpse of the game even if it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles.
