Army of Two: The 40th Day for PS3

Fans of third-person shooters have another game available to feed their thirst for action with the release of Army of Two: The 40th Day for the PlayStation 3 gaming console. But will its action keep you on the edge of your seat for hours, or leave you bored? Keep reading as we take a closer look.

The 40 th Day is a sequel to the original Army of Two released in 2008 by Electronic Arts. Those who purchased the first edition of the series and decide to pick up this sequel will notice plenty of improvements, from the look of the game to its gameplay.

Add in a satisfying multi-player experience, tons of customization features, and a well-crafted co-op system, and you have yourself a fun diversion to help you release all of your pent-up aggression. Army of Two: The 40 th Day is available for the PS3 for around $40, depending on where you shop.

The plot in The 40 th Day once again centers around the two lively, muscle-bound, and heavily tattooed mercenaries known as Tyson Rios and Elliot Salem who make up the "Army of Two." Rios and Salem are both former Army Rangers, each with distinct personalities. Rios is more of the level-headed one, who got into the private sector to try to make a difference in the world. Salem is the hotheaded one, who loves the thrill and aura that comes with being a mercenary.

The two head their own company known as Trans World Operations along with the help of Alice Murray, their female counterpart and mission coordinator who tries to keep the company running smoothly. Trans World Operations is in the business of having Salem and Rios travel around the world to some of its most dangerous places to carry out contracts and battle bad guys.

Although the original Army of Two took place in several places such as Afghanistan, Iraq, and Miami, this time around the tandem finds themselves on a mission in Shanghai, China. While in Shanghai on another one of their contracted missions, Salem and Rios are stuck in the middle of a chaotic attack on the city. It's up to them to help save Shanghai and take out the ones responsible for its destruction.
