Overall the Zalman CNPS7000A-AlCu is an affordable, quiet, good looking, and easy to install socket 478/754/462 cooler. The ease of installation and three socket compatibility are major pluses. The AlCu is also within weight specification for socket 478 and 754, and really shouldn't be a problem for 462. And while its performance was not quite as good as I hoped it would be, the AlCu still tops other P4 coolers considered to be quiet. The AlCu kept cool a 2.4GHz P4 overclocked to 3GHz in both Silent and Normal Mode, which is great coming from a cooler like this.
The CNPS7000A-AlCu is a good choice for people looking for a decent air cooling solution that is also quiet. If you are interested in something with a little better performance, then consider the all copper CNPS7000A-Cu. Remember however, the all copper cooler is much heavier and can cause damage if you're not careful. Before making any decisions, make sure the CNPS7000A fits your motherboard by visiting Zalman's website.
