Zalman CNPS 7700 ALCU, Zalman VF700 review - Heatsink Details

Both Zalman heatsinks are based off of their patented flower technology. The heatsink is actually made from hundreds of separate fins, and the base is made from the fins, which have been pressed and bolted together, with two aluminum blocks on each side.

You can clearly see the two aluminum blocks at the base, and the fins crossing through the base to the other side of the heatsink.

The base has been milled down by Zalman to ensure that it is completely flat and very smooth to provide optimal contact with the CPU’s integrated heatspreader.

The Zalman logo is written into each of the heatsink's fins
