    Vantec VP4-C7040 and VA4-C7040 Review - Conclusion page 2

    Concerns

The major concern I had with the socket A Aeroflow was that the clip was a tad stiff the first time I installed it.  Once it was installed and removed once, it gave good tension without having to force the clip down to grab onto the teeth.  Too much pressure in the beginning just might give a crack on the core.  The concern I had with the socket 478 Aeroflow was that it did not give complete contact with the Intel heatspreader.  Although it did not harm performance, I believe that having a complete contact would give much better results.

    Conclusion:

The Vantec Aeroflows are simply amazing.  Although the Swiftechs were not made to use 70mm fans, it was still able to beat out the Aeroflows, but only by a small margin.  The great built and quality of the Aeroflows make the heat sink a definite buy.  Did I get a personal favorite?  No.  But I sure will recommend it to everyone.
