Tweakmonster Dual 80mm Fan Bracket - The Fan Bracket

At $14.99, the Tweakmonster fan bracket is not exactly cheap, especially when you think about what it really is: a piece of steel. But here is a nicer description from Tweakmonster:

"Designed especially for use with my RAMsinks, this Fan Bracket allows you to mount (2) 80mm fans directly over the AGP/PCI slots for super-cooling your cards without the need for any modding to your case. They come complete with all necessary mounting hardware and install completely inside the case in minutes. Designed mainly for the Overclocker that doesn't want to cut holes in his expensive case and the modder that wants a quiet machine without blowholes in the side making noise. This Fan Bracket creates the necessary airflow over the RAMsinks and GPU block for even higher Overclocking speeds and all around stability."

The Tweakmonster fan bracket comes inside a zip-lock bag. The package includes a stainless steel bracket with dual 80mm holes that is universally compatible, because it can be adjusted by means of the positioning slot.

Bracket ScrewsThe whole package consists of the bracket, mounting kit, and two "Enhanced by Tweakmonster" case stickers. The mounting kit is made up of two "mount" screws, used to raise the bracket about a centimeter off the case edge of where PCI cards are screwed in, and two screws that secure the bracket to these mount screws.

Now while the concept of a fan bracket is nothing new, the main incentive behind purchasing a fan bracket by Tweakmonster is reliability. Unless you've machined a piece of metal which screws onto the case, and fans are also mounted by screws, the reliability factor just isn't there. "Ghetto," but not reliable. Which is why tape and zip ties just do not cut it in some instances.
