Scythe Ninja Plus Rev B - What You Get continued

Unlike many coolers, this one doesn’t have a fan attached out of the box. This is due to its ability to run without a fan, but it also saves box space. The cooler can be run in passive mode and also with the fan on it. I’ll test both settings to see how well it works in both modes. It’s rare to see a decent cooler with no fan attached to it.

Here is the fan with the clips. Judging by the clips, it looks like it will be difficult to get the fan mounted and unmounted. Some interesting information I came across while searching at the Scythe website says that this fan that came from the box isn’t the same one as listed on the Scythe website. The fan I got is actually a little better as far as air flow, 49.58 CFM vs. 68.54 CFM.

This is good for cooling - more air flow to whisk away the heat. The downside to this problem is that it increases the noise, 20.94 dBA vs, 24.00 dBA. Here is a quick run down of the specifications of the fan that was supposed to come with the cooler (left) compared to what I actually got (right).
