    Installation and Performance
The Hydor L30 installation was rather uneventful. Disassemble the cooling system, swap the pumps, reassemble, fill, and check for leaks.

With the pump mounted at the bottom of the case, and secured with the suction cups, the install was a success. The pump is very quiet, and the suction cups seem to take the vibration of the pump to almost nothing. While I did not notice any improvement or decline in cooling, the size factor comes into play. The small footprint of the pump allows it to be mounted under the drive cage, and out of the way for any work that needs to be done inside the case.

    Conclusion
While running the pump nonstop 24/7 since installing it 3 months ago, there have been no issues to date with the Hydor L30. Only time will tell if the Hydor pump will rival the current King of Watercooling pumps, Eheim. For now, I am happy with Bruce's recommendation.

    Pros

    • Compact design

    • Ceramic shaft reduces heat dissipation, and impeller noise

    • 1/2" fittings on the pressure and suction fittings

    • Adjustable rotating base with suction cup mounting

    Cons

    • Not time tested in PC cooling applications

Big thanks to Bruce from CoolTechnica for turning me on to this pump. If you are looking for the best H2O gear (and other goodies too!!) make sure you head over there to grab it. Want to discuss this item or any others? Head to the OCA Forums.
