    CONCLUSIONS

Koolance has made great strides with the Exos. The unit is very easy to install. It provides good performance, better than the leading air cooler on the market, which is expected. Its performance is not as good as some of the custom or thermal electric solutions out there, but again that should be expected and I think its ease of use more than makes up for it. It is reasonably quiet when in Mode 1 and not too bad in Mode 3. And I think it looks great. It kind of has a rack component feel to it that I like.

    Highs:

    - Good performance

    - Quiet, my case fans are unfortunately louder

    - Very easy to install

    - The control panel is very useful

    - Looks good

    - Works with any case that has an available PCI/ISA/AGP slot

    Lows:

    - Thermal diode location

    - Small diameter tubing

While I was very happy with the Exos I would like them to rework a couple things. I do not know if changing the tubing's diameter would improve performance greatly but I would like to see the results. And while I understand that the thermal diode's location is to approximate the water temperature, I believe it would be more useful closer to the CPU's core to display its temperatures.

Even with these minor faults, the market they are aiming at was hit in the bulls eye.  For that reason, we'd be foolish not to recommend the Exos to any of you in the market for a self contained, relatively simple to install water cooling solution.  Hence, the awarding of OCAddiction's "OCA Recommended"!  Grats Koolance..
