Evercool Nighthawk VC-F117 - Packaging and Contents

This cooler is a nice and attractive, eye-catching, “hanging on the wall” package. I know I would have picked it up just to see what kind of computer part was shaped like a stealth bomber.

Not needing much packing, the unit is in a regular blister pack with the description of package contents.  Actually, it’s kind of interesting to read.

Feel free to find grammatic mistakes. I am still wondering what “cooper design” is, and is it really going to give me “the super performace”.

A word about Evercool: They have been around  since 1992 and there are a few sites that you can visit to see their products. Although we are still unsure of their roots, apparently the company has a Taiwanese site and a Korean site with different profiles on both. Here are some links that you can check out later:

So, given that the company is not based in the US, or another English-speaking country, this gives them a break on the spelling mistakes in the manual. That is, of course, if the product is up to par.

The VC-F117 comes with the unit itself, installation clips+screws+standoffs, thermal paste, memory heatsinks and a 3 to 4 prong fan adapter. This is pretty good, considering that they could be cheap and hold back on the adapter and the memory heatsinks, like some other manufacturers do.
