    Evercool K803-925CA Heatsink

    Today, we have an Evercool Heatsink made from a large anodized aluminum base beneath a large 90mm fan. We’ll see if the Evercool, without all the fancy technology in some more expensive coolers, can keep an overclocked processor nice and cool.

    There are so many different cooling options for processors that one could easily get confused on how adequate a cooler may perform. As most would expect, a more expensive copper cooling solution would perform considerably better than a standard aluminum heatsink. What most users don’t realize is that an aluminum heatsink with a large surface area can perform similarly to a copper cooling solution. Performance of an aluminum heatsink relies heavily on the design of the heatsink itself, more surface area is the key to better performance, and dense fin design beneath a large fan can easily outperform other coolers.
