Evercool HDAC, Hard Drive Cooler - Inside the Box

Upon opening the box, we find the HDAC unit, along with the required mounting hardware.  Here’s a picture of the box contents:

As you can see, there was not much inside the box, not even any instructions.  A quick search found out that the instructions were printed on the back of the box.

Here’s a picture from the front corner of the unit.

The black housing for the HDAC is aluminum, and acts like one big heat-sink.  It was cool to the touch at all times, and will help dissipate the heat generated by the drive.  The HDAC has the words ‘ICE STORM’ printed across the top.  This is a fitting name for the unit, though I saw no mention of it on the packaging itself. Below, the heatsink and its hollow tunnels are easy to see.

From underneath the HDAC, we can see where the hard drive mounts. On the left of the silver panel, the fan is visible. The thermostat lead is the wire hanging off to the right.
