The pump was not self-priming, so it had to be tilted after filling the reservoir to ensure water flow. Therefore, we left it unattached to the case for the time being. Corsair provided a strip of self-adhesive foam for pump mounting.

There were six clamps provided with the kit, all of which were the self-locking plastic type. We were a little skeptical about using them because they looked a bit flimsy, but they worked out just right. That design was, in fact, the best for this application because the size of the clamps was small enough to fit in tight areas.

Corsair had a very smart idea of providing plastic coils to be wrapped around the outside tubes leading to the RADBOX from the case. That totally eliminated the possibility of pinching the tubes.

Thermal compound supplied with the system was probably not top-notch, but the instruction specifically recommended using the supplied compound (but, of course!). However, this time there was a reason. Since there was no fan vibration on the HS, the compound does not need to settle; theirs would work best, since it does not require settling and burning-in. So we listened and for once AS5 was not the prime choice.
After having all the tubes cut to size, it was time to fill the system. Distilled water was used, to prevent build-up and prolong the overall life of the components.
Here is what it looks like filled.

Notice that the pump is still not attached, and it was tilted a few times to make sure the water flows through it and then mounted to the bottom of the case.
Now that every piece is in place and the water is flowing, it’s time to try it out and see how it performs.
