Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro Review - Conclusion

    Conclusion

    Pros

    • Amazing performance.
    • More features crammed into an already excellent product.
    • Larger fan to dissipate more heat
    • Anti-vibration fan housing with guard.
    • Heatsink base is the best I’ve seen from Arctic Cooling.
    • Available for P4 LGA775 processors (Freezer 7 Pro)
    • Great price, (around $35) compared to most aftermarket cooler in its performance range.
    • Prices of older coolers have dropped quite a bit if you can’t quite afford the new series.

    Cons

    • Freezer 64 Pro is only compatible with A-64’s, no P4 bracket kit like some aftermarket solutions.
    • No additional thermal paste. This gives a one time installation with the MX-1 thermal paste

Without a doubt, the Freezer 64 Pro is an amazing cooler. All of the new features increase the overall performance significantly versus most aftermarket cooling solutions. The ability to overclock single core and dual core processors to new limits is worth every penny. The only thing I wonder is why Arctic Cooling didn’t design this heatsink the first time. None the less, the Freezer 64 Pro is an amazing heatsink. I’m often told “If it isn’t broken, don’t try to fix it”. In this case I’m glad Arctic Cooling went back to the drafting table to one-up an already amazing cooler.

I would like to thank Arctic Cooling for providing us with our review sample. I highly recommend Arctic Cooling products to anyone looking at purchasing an aftermarket cooler. All of their products offer amazing performance and features. They are constantly releasing new coolers to offer solutions for nearly all components in a computer system.

I would like to thank everybody for checking out our review of the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro, make sure you keep on reading here at Dev Hardware. We will have the latest Arctic Cooling Accelero X1 VGA cooler up in a few short weeks. Stay tuned.
