AngelEye Bay-Res (rev. 2) Water Cooling Block Review - Conclusion
(Page 4 of 4 )
Overall, the AngelEye Bay-Res delivered exactly what I was looking for and even a few extras. It was easy to mount, fill, and bleed. After running for about a day or so, all air bubbles had been removed from my water cooling system. Without air bubbles in the system, I have not had any problems with noise from the pump in my Swiftech H20-8500. I really like it when a product works as described; its surprising how many times they don't.
The Bay-Res looks great in my case and should only look better once I install some LEDs into LED holders. The acrylic lit up spectacularly with me just shining a flash light into the rear of the unit (that's how I took the above picture).
As those of you familiar with water cooling probably already know adding a reservoir to your water cooling system in itself does not generally affect the cooling performance of the water cooling system. What it does is make one of the most troublesome tasks of setting up a water cooling system infinitely easier. Filling and Bleeding a water cooling system can be a nightmare without a decent reservoir even if it is well designed. A perfect example is the Swiftech H20-8500. While I believe their fill & bleed mechanism was very well designed, I just could not remove all the air bubbles from that system. I spent hours messing with that thing, although I do have my share of mental problems.

Other than my concerns about the chip in the front of my Bay-Res and the slight misalignment of the mounting holes this unit was perfect. I can't think of any reason why someone with a water cooled system would not want a Bay-Res in their case.
