What has Sony Been up to Lately? - First Ever HD Portable Video Player

First Ever HD Portable Video Player

Keeping with Sony's current theme of making all of their products HD compatible, they announced the world's first ever HD portable video player, the GV-HD700 Walkman.  This device features a 7 inch widescreen display for watching videos or viewing pictures in high definition.

This portable video player can also record HDV and DV signals from external devices.  You can also hook the HD700 up to an HDTV, via the HDMI outputs, and watch movies from the device on the TV.

    Included accessories:

    • ACv Adapter
    • Wireless Remote
    • Component and AV Multi-Cable

The HD700 gives the user the ability to fully customize the interface with 3 user-defined function buttons.  The HD700 also offers the user the ability to store up to 6 different LCD set-ups for a more custom look.

This device released in September, is probably the best portable video player on the market today. It can be found online for prices ranging from $1050 through about $1300.
