    Soulcalibur IV - More Modes

Another single player mode is the Tower of Lost Souls, where you can choose to either go up or down the tower. Each level pits you against different opponents. If you choose to ascend the tower, you will fight certain opponents on each floor. As you defeat them, you will unlock certain goodies such as new equipment and you will be able to go further up the tower.

You can also unlock the Character Creation mode if you are successful in ascending the tower. Character Creation mode is a nice feature and lets you get your creative juices flowing. You can edit current characters or create new ones. Current characters can be changed in terms of their hair style, equipment, weapons, and skills. If you create a new character from scratch they may look different from pre-existing ones, but in actuality you will recognize many of their moves and skills to be the same as those made by the game.

If you choose to descend the tower, you will pick two characters that fight opponents as they go further down the tower in a sort of tag team match. Each level you complete allows you to descend the tower and unlock new items to aid you in combat. One plus of the tag team environment is that, as one of your fighters is engaged, the other can slowly rebuild his health, allowing you to conquer the towers more easily.
