Mother`s Day Gift Guide 2007 - More Traditional Gifts

Candy

Candy is the gift that can be consumed by mothers AND children alike. While you can run out to the local grocery store, you can go beyond the normal call of gift giving and get mom some personalized M&Ms. You can select between two colors and two different messages and create your own personal bag of M&Ms for your mom. This can earn you bonus points when she opens it up and sees sayings like "World's Best Mom" or "I love you Mom" on each candy she eats.
Flowers
Mothers always enjoy flowers. You can run to the local florist if you live close to your mother, but if you live further away, online flower shops might be the best answer. Sites such as 1800flowers.com or Proflowers.com are very popular. I use Proflowers.com personally and they give me the best flowers every time; they have always arrived on time and in perfect shape. The downside to this type of gift is it eventually will die. Also, online florists normally charge higher prices than your local florist.
If you have a hefty budget and want to give mom a personalized gift, take a look at colorwarepc.com. They specialize in painting electronic devices such as iPods and computers. While it costs a little more, maybe your mom would love a shiny new pink MacBook or even a pink iPod Video. They also do video game consoles if you want to change the look of your gaming system, but I don't recommend getting mom a video game system; you can surely expect socks and underwear for your birthday then! [Well, maybe not if it's a Wii, but good luck finding one. --Ed.]
I hope this article gave you some ideas to turn this year's Mother's Day into a great day for Mom. These are some of the great gifts I have given my mom in the past. They're great gifts that she gets a lot out of every day of the year. Along with these gifts don't forget to give her a hug and a kiss and to tell her she's the greatest mom in the world. It's the thought that counts, but getting her a great gift will make it all the better. Happy Mother's Day to all those moms out there!
