Madden 09 for the PS3 - More Tweaks
Some new tweaks in on-field player control are present in Madden 09. The running and jumping has been improved. You now have the ability to break tackles on your own, rather than having to hope and pray that you get free via the game’s AI. Once a defender latches onto you, there is the possibility of breaking his tackle using player controls.
There have also been new animations added when receiving that control the players’ arms and hands, which customizes the passing and receiving gameplay. These tweaks are nice additions to the 2009 release, and they are just some of the little details that EA Sports adds to its Madden franchise that have made it a hit with its fans in the past.

Another feature added to the gameplay in Madden 09 is the Rewind feature. You can use the rewind feature for a set number of times during a game if you want to redo a particular play. For instance, if you are driving for a touchdown late in the game and fumble, you can rewind the play and take another shot. This is a good feature for those who do not take losing easily. It is a feature that can be turned off and is not available during online gameplay.
