LG 32LG30 LCD TV Review - Looks and Sounds

Physically, the LG 32LG30 measures 31.5 inches wide by 23.7 inches tall by 8.9 inches deep. The 32LG30 weighs in at 29.5 pounds. These measurements take into account the television’s swiveling stand.

Aesthetically, the 32LG30 has a sleek design that would add to the style of any room in your house. It has a nice glossy black finish and its bottom edge attaches to a thin pedestal that rests on a round swiveling stand.

The power button is a large, lit LED located below the screen on the right hand side. The LED can be disabled for those who find the light to be a nuisance while watching their televisions. The picture controls on the LG 32LG30 are extensive and the same as those found on the higher end LG60 sets.

The 32LG30 also has two 20 watt speakers, hidden from plain view, that surround the television's panel. This design helps to create a natural surround sound effect. The 32LG30 even has a Clear Voice feature that claims to enhance human voices during dialog to make them clearer and easier to understand during scenes in which there is heavy background music or noise. This is a definite plus for those like me who at times have to turn subtitles on while watching a DVD because it is hard to make out what the actors are saying because of heavy bass or noise in the background.

In terms of connectivity, the LG 32LG30 simply cannot be beat. There is simply nothing left to the imagination on this model. Located on the back panel of the 32LG30 are 2 HDMI inputs, two component video inputs, a PC input, an AV input with composite and S-Video, an optical digital audio input, and an analog audio output. The side panel of the 32LG30 houses an extra HDMI input and another AV input with composite video.
