Google is an incredibly appealing company for many reasons. Aside from famously treating their employees well, the technology powerhouse also offers a wide array of incredibly helpful, useful, and most importantly, user friendly services to the general public, most of which are free. Today we'll be looking at the latest service from Google that has everyone talking.
Everything that Google offers, from their search engine to their e-mail services, takes the most needed qualities from similar providers and puts a different spin on them, making their products unique and unlike anything else available. Their Gmail e-mail service includes an instant messaging service called Gchat; their search engine is the most widely used in the world, as it provides the most pertinent results; and their Google Earth satellite services is the most in-depth available -- and free of charge.
The point, of course, is that Google takes all of their endeavors seriously, often surpassing their competitors in the public eye in terms of appeal and use.
Google Voice
Google has a new product being released to a select few, and once it’s released on a large scale to the public, there will be no denying the company as leader of the pack in terms of innovation and pioneering new ideas and technologies. Google Voice is a new, free service the company will be offering the public. Currently the service is in closed beta and only available to a select few.
Essentially, Google Voice provides a single phone number that will represent all of your other numbers, such as your cell phone, home phone, and work phone. Google has reportedly obtained over a million phone numbers in preparation for the public launch of its telephone service later this year.
