    Freeware Games - Online games

Now if you have some time to kill at a random computer, but can't download any of these games to the computer for any reason, you're not out of luck.  While you won't find any games as in depth as the ones you can download, you can find some very good online games that require no additional downloads to play on most computers.  As long as you have a good Internet connection, you will playing games in no time.

While at school I am often in this situation when I'm on a university computer.  One of my favorites is candystand.com.  My favorite is the mini golf.  It isn't a very easy game.  I have played many times and gotten quite frustrated.  It's not as easy as hitting a ball off a few walls and banking it in.  There are many things you have to hit around, under, over and through.

If you can't find any games that you enjoy, your next step should be addictinggames.com.  There are tons of games there that will entertain you no matter what type of games you enjoy.

If you enjoy doing Sudoku, check out websudoku.com.  This offers free Sudoku in 2 difficulty ranges; you can track how well you do on each one and compare it to the rest of the world.  The last site I would recommend is PopCap Games, at popcap.com.  This offers some better graphic games compared to some other sites.  You will find many more traditional games, such as Bejeweled and Zuma. [Don't forget Alchemy and Bookworm! --Ed.

A great way of getting free games is what they call abandonware.  This is software from companies which have gone under, or if the company has not gone under the software is so old that it freely allows users to enjoy it legally. This is great for people that want to get the arcade games from the past onto their computers; most can be downloaded for free now.

    Conclusion

These are just a handful of the thousands of freeware games on the Internet.  If you want a new game to get addicted to, try some of these.  They are well worth the download and will keep you entertained for hours on end. If you have any other games or any questions, feel free to visit the forums.  The members there will be happy to help you find a game or recommend one to you.  Thank you for reading.
