Freeware Games - WarRock

I got into this game while in one of my Counter Strike: Source moods. This game is very similar to Counter Strike, but it's graphics aren't as good, and it doesn't boast as many bells and whistles. I kind of stumbled upon it on while looking around the Internet saw that it was completely free and thought I would give it a try.
I found it a lot easier for me personally to play. I'm not a great Counter Strike player, or even a decent one, but there are a lot less people playing, which in itself isn't a bad thing for finding good games, but it is a good thing that all the really great people are still in Counter Strike. Despite my comment about the graphics, it's not like your average computer geek decided to make a game level of graphics; this game features professional, commercial level graphics. They could have easily charged for this game but decided to put it out as freeware.
Return To Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory
I had just finished playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein when this game came out. I was initially bummed that I didn't have money for this game, but then a smile came to my face. It's another great piece of software available for free!
This is a multiple first person shooter that is more team-based than most first person shooters. There are different classes within a team, which have to work together to help accomplish a goal. One game lets you work as a team to help attack and defend points. There are engineers that can build mounted machine guns to help defend it. Medics help people and of course you have your generic soldiers and snipers. While it is like many first person shooters, the team work needed in the game makes it unique and fun.
