Electronics Buying Guide for the College Bound Student - All Work and No Play? Never!

One device I have that does not help in my education, but use at college on a daily basis, is my iPod. When you walk around campus, you will see a majority of people with music players and headphones in their ears. I also used mine a lot while studying and doing homework. Additionally, I had the iHome radio/alarm clock/iPod dock. This is by far one the best gifts I received. It is a very nice alarm clock for those early classes and a great way to listen to your music.

I was also fortunate to have an Xbox 360 to play with in my spare time. I wouldn't say you need one of these for school, but it is a nice addition. I know my freshman year there was some bonding going on when we spent nights playing Xbox till the wee hours of the morning. A PlayStation 3 would do the same; it's all personal preference.

If you're the parent of a college student, or a student, I hope this guide has helped you become as well-prepared as possible for school. These are the things that have made my years at school a lot easier, more enjoyable, and more productive.
