DreamColor Technology: Worth the Hype? - Who Can Use DreamColor Technology
(Page 4 of 4 )
By making DreamColor technology available in a wide array of products designed for home or business use, HP allows everyone to have the opportunity to enjoy the full spectrum of what they can now do with graphics. Labeled buttons and user manuals make it possible for anyone to grasp the complex features and controlling options associated with DreamColor products, and there’s no limit or restriction placed on who can buy. It is possible for everyone to own and learn to use DreamColor technology, but does that necessarily mean that everyone should?
Anyone can use DreamColor technology, but the truth is that most photo printers offer enough colors to satisfy home office graphic and picture needs. Since DreamColor is still very new, the price reflects the timeline. The subtle difference and range in color can be appreciated and noticed by all, but only those who extensively use graphics and design can really get the full benefit from DreamColor‘s features and offers.
The technology was unveiled to the world at large, but make no mistake, DreamColor is geared toward professional graphics users, designers, and others who have a real need for creating LCD images that can then be reproduced in print. It may make family photos look great, but at present DreamColor is hardly worth the expense just to capture certain shades. Many other products can quite ably produce graphic images with colors enough to satisfy small-business and home-business users.
DreamColor of the Future?
There is still hope for those who dream of (affordably) owning DreamColor technology. New products are unveiled by HP all the time, and the company seems determined to make DreamColor a reality for even amateur designers and graphics users. As DreamColor becomes more of a norm and more people start to buy these products, the prices will lower accordingly, and more new products featuring DreamColor will be made available.
